The American Center for Innovation has created a replicable, scalable model of a community-based and supported sustainable innovation, learning and discovery center that provides local residents and the region with a diverse, equitable and inclusive STEAM-based programming, technicians, instructors and subject matter experts, that delivers cradle-to-career support services, and a nurturing environment to acquire the skills needed to attain well-paying in-demand careers.

Almost every industry is benefitting from robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence technologies including automotive, defense, healthcare, logistics, finance, and consumer goods.



The manufacturing industry has been embracing technology and southeast Michigan’s companies have been on the cutting edge of developing these advanced technologies.



These industries need talented individuals. However, there is an insufficient local talent pool to keep up with demand in these areas.

There are simply not enough Michigan students graduating in STEAM fields.

The American Center for Innovation plans to provide cradle to career opportunities, pathways to 21st century jobs, wealth creation through entrepreneurship, and full support services and resources for young children and their families.
